It has been another fun week to work on business translation content from Taiwan. The pieces were mainly news and op-ed articles originally published in Chinese-language newspapers in Taiwan. And the clients needed the English version to make sure effectively bilingual and smooth internal and external communication for business.

This is the right direction for Taiwan, whose officials in recent years suggested making English the second official language. When businesses in Taiwan go the extra mile to prepare their documents in two languages to better connect and communicate to the world, that is certainly a good foundation for Taiwan to continue improving its bilingual capability.

Local governments and town councils, academics and businesses have put in great effort to strengthen the bilingual practice in Taiwan. And I am more than proud to contribute my part in Chinese to English translation, all thanks to my education at NTNU.
