最近正讀著英國作者Sarah Owen 和 Amanda Saunders 的《躁鬱症之終極指引》。這是我閱讀的第一本躁鬱症專書而且進度很慢，因為最近工作比較忙碌。
Recently I am reading Bipolar Disorder – the Ultimate Guide by Sarah Owen and Amanda Saunders. This is my first book on the topic of Bipolar Disorder and my reading has been slow because I am really busy with work.
From the first tens of pages, I have a glimpse of Bipolar Disorder, which in some aspects quite similar to Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). Similar symptoms between the two included mood swing and depression. Bipolar sufferers feel depressed more than feeling maniac. This seems to be similar to years-long depression of many BPD patients.
One obvious difference between the two, as far as my skin-deep psychiatric knowledge is concerned, is that BPD sufferers have fear of abandonment as well as intense and inappropriate anger. Learning how to distinguish one from another is the key to decide how you should deal with them, if someone around you suffers from these disorders.
