Recently I have been visiting computer shops in a frequent manner. Not that I am shopping for new equipment all the time; it is just that I am looking around to see if I can find something suitable. My idea is that when I earn some money from translation business, I shall take a small portion to reinvest into my business again so that I can do better in the future.
Those who depend on computers for a living know that computers are never 100 per cent reliable. The only way to keep your computers workable is that you need to always maintain and fix it. And you need to spend some money to do your maintenance and upgrade.
Spending some money for computer maintenance is better than getting a new one after three years without service or repair. Well, you might want to buy a new laptop once every two to three years, but it creates another problem as to where you are going to keep the old ones.
Another good point to maintain my old laptops is that I make sure I create less electronic waste to the world.
